Legal, Laws And Regulations

This legal guideline page is regarding AVA Systems, the AVA SafePipe solution and other products sold by AVA Systems and their compliance with laws and regulations.

Any technical solution including the AVA SafePipe solution has to be in compliance with national- and local laws, restrictions and regulations with respect to installation, commissioning and operation. The responsibility for this compliance is the main contractor or the Buyer’ alone. Furthermore, this responsibility is valid regardless of possible other written statements found elsewhere.

A particular attention should be paid to the fact that the AVA SafePipe System consists of three major components. One component being the medium carrying pipe in the center. Second component being the positioning material and insulation made in PUR (Polyurethane) located around the medium carrying pipe. Third component being the environmental membrane in HDPE (High Density Polyurethane) that is wrapped around the entire construction. Both the PUR and the HDPE material could possibly burn in case of a fire. This fact has to be taken into account when an AVA SafePipe System solution is designed in for installation and use on any project.

Often, there is a distinction wether or not the installation is above or below ground. How a given material burn is quite often more significant in above ground installations compared to below ground installations. This has to do with ruhles and regulations related to «safe escape routes» in case of a fire.

Nevertheless, as stated in the beginning of this page, the responsibility for compliance with laws and regulations with respect to these matters are the Buyers’ alone. The major reason is that how laws and regulations apply might vary from one installation to another, and from one country or geographical area to another.
